In the current market as you would appreciate it has been necessary to implement some changes to Peninsula Finance Plc's lending policy. We are still lending and the current terms of our loans can be found on the Products menu, with the following updates.
We are now capping our LTV at up to 65% of the 180 day market value. Our published rate remains up to 75% and we will return to this rate when the market stablises.
Our underwriting team is scrutinising the quality of applications received more closely and will be assessing cases on, in some cases, stricter lending criteria.
In addition, we are currently giving priority to applications from existing broker contacts, although we are still accepting cases from new brokers with quality business proposals.

Who we are:
Based in Plymouth, with offices near the historic Hoe, Peninsula Finance Plc is an expanding company which has grown out of a long established solicitors private mortgage business. We have a board of directors with substantial business, legal and lending expertise derived from a proven track record with a number of major organizations. Our own strong financial base is further enhanced by funding and support from a major High Street Banking Group. Our experienced underwriting team places great importance on the speed and quality of service provided to our broker contacts, and we have built a deserved reputation for a quick, flexible and imaginative underwriting process.
What we do:
- We offer genuine non status Commercial Loans, Residential and Commercial Development Finance and Bridging Finance, on the widest range of property security throughout England, Scotland and Wales
- We can lend up to 75% of 180 day market value - between £25,001 and £750,000
- We provide funds for individuals, partnerships and companies
- All our products are on an interest
only basis
- We are authorised by the FSA to carry out Regulated Mortgage Business (firm reference No 312479)
- We value all our broker contacts and seek at all times to provide a quick 'in principle' decision on a flexible basis and with a 'try to do the deal' attitude
